Cartas de América #10: a dispatch from my twelve-year-old self

One summer when I was twelve I went to nerd camp in México. There were soccer games and awkward dances and from what I remember, there was a lot of rain, too. I was taking intro to archaeology at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (not to be confused with that other School of the Americas). Just so you know I’ve always been like this.
